Cara Chambers
Cara is a fully Chartered Town Planner and has had nearly three years of experience in the industry. She also been elected as member of the RTPI General Assembly, the debating chamber which informs the future development of the RTPI.
Experience includes;
– Advising a client in respect of heritage constraints and conversion of a listed building into a residential-led development, including steering the pre-application process and liaison with the Local Planning Authority;
– Advising on the potential health impacts of a residential development. This included the drafting of a Health Impact Assessment as well as building up a demographic data dashboard of the area; and
– Advising a house builder on the policy context of a site with regards to its rural exception status.
As a Planner, Cara works alongside senior members of the team in a diverse range of areas such as site appraisals and the completion of planning and consultation statements, including summarising technical reports. She also researches and drafts Health Impact Assessments utilising data dashboards and Geographical Information Systems. As well as this, she undertakes policy and development plan research as well as submitting pre-application advice requests and planning applications.
